The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division consists of over 100 members dispersed into three shifts for 24-hour police protection. Members are assigned to one of eight stations within the county where they begin and end their tours of duty. Road patrol deputies are responsible for responding to 911 calls for emergencies as well as routine complaints. When not engaged in criminal complaints deputies provide traffic safety and enforcement including DWI patrols, commercial vehicle inspections, and motor vehicle collision investigations.
In addition to being assigned to patrol functions, deputies staff specialized units including Marine Patrol, Dive Team, Sex Offender Registry Enforcement, Narcotics Unit, K-9 Unit, Recreational Vehicle Patrol utilizing ATV’s and snowmobiles.
