GovPayNet – Cash Bail

SARATOGA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE NOW ACCEPTING CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS FOR CASH BAIL PAYMENTS

Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo has announced that as of May 20, 2014 the Corrections Division will now accept credit and debit cards for cash bail payments through GovPayNet. By clicking on the link you will be directed to the GovPayNet site.  You will enter the defendant’s first and last name with middle initial, defendant’s date of birth, permanent #,  and name of court authorizing bail and follow the instructions in processing your payment.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE CARD HOLDER:

If you are using the remote bail option, the receipt for bail will be made out to the Defendant. This means that the funds (minus the service fee) being paid by way of your credit card WILL BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE DEFENDANT.

All funds released by the court when the case is disposed of can only be collected by the Defendant. It will then be your responsibility to obtain the funds from the Defendant.
